Geneva Arts Development Council Board of Directors

Vision: We envision a thriving arts environment in Geneva, with more attractions for tourists and visitors, improved quality of life for residents, and revitalization of downtown. 

Mission: The mission of the Geneva Arts Development Council is to support and advocate for the arts in Geneva.  We will work to increase the visibility of the area’s arts organizations and events by facilitating communication and collaboration among organizations that share the goals of art and revitalization.

Sally Webster works in college relations and development at Union College.  Graduate of William Smith College; board member, Geneva Free Library; member, Colleges Community Chorus; volunteer, Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

 

Terry Spittler is an analytical chemist with Cornell University  (NYSAES-Geneva) engaged in pesticide regulation, food safety and toxic spill remediation. Geneva interests have included the Seneca Yacht Club, Geneva Youth Hockey, Route 14 truck traffic, Seneca Rifle and Pistol Club and Geneva Concerts. He is a national officer in the American Chemical Society and a member of Federal panels addressing Gulf War Syndrome, arsenic in drinking water and human exposure. He is considered a gourmet gardener by the South Main Street deer.
 
Eleanor Stearns
is a past president of the Geneva Theatre Guild serving as actor, director, production manager, and a member of the guild since 1978. She performs one-woman portrayals of famous women in her "Women of Vision". Member of Friends of the Park and Park Players, Women's Rights National Historical
Park. She is also a retired School Psychology Technician for the Geneva City Schools.
Margie Whiteleather
Strategic project manager for The Cornell Store at Cornell University, focused on pilot projects, marketing and public relations.  Academic background in art history and media studies.

Kenneth Shefsiek Board  Representative of Geneva Historical Society. He has completed coursework towards the Doctor of Philosophy in History at the University of Georgia. His primary emphasis is the history of early America. Former Curator of Education at the Huguenot Historical Society in New Paltz, New York, where he was also founding vice-chairman of the Village of New Paltz Historic Preservation Commission. He holds a Master of Heritage Preservation degree from Georgia State University and a Master of Music in Early Music Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, and worked for nearly a decade at Boston University in student services.

Mr. Wenderlich is a professional actor/director educator. He is currently Assistant Professor/Theatre at Keuka College, The Lighting Designer/Technical Director for Dance at Hobart & William Smith Colleges and a member of the AEA, SAG and AFTRA acting unions. He holds an MFA from Syracuse and an MA from the University of Iowa.
